Daycare at A Dog's Life is designed to fulfill all of your dog's needs with supervised play time, exercise and rest periods.

Policies and Terms

CANCELLATION OF SERVICES

24-hour notice is required to cancel any scheduled service, and this should be done by email. Only email cancellations are acceptable. Please phone if you don’t have access to email. Please do not send text messages. Please do not assume that we have received the message. A Dog’s Life Toronto must confirm that the receipt of your email and/or phone message is valid.

If you cancel within 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged in full for the missed service.

If we cannot enter your home because your key does not work or your alarm codes have been changed without making arrangements with us, you are still responsible for the service charge.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

In extreme weather, walks may be shortened to 20 minutes or less. We may be forced to cancel your service because of extreme weather conditions. We will notify you by phone if this occurs.

PAYMENT, DEPOSIT & REFUND POLICY

Payment is due in advance for all services. We accept cash, Canada Post money orders, certified cheques, or credit card payments through PayPal (a secure online payment service). We do not accept cheques that are not approved. If you wish to pay monthly for recurring services, we will discount your service by 5%.

For vacation bookings or peak period bookings, we must receive a non-refundable deposit of 50% at least 3 weeks before departure, with the balance due just prior to service. LONG WEEKENDS ARE COMPLETELY NON-REFUNDABLE.

There is a $10.00 per day surcharge for statutory holidays. Please note that we may make exceptions to our refund policy if there are extenuating circumstances.

HOLIDAY, PEAK PERIOD, AND WEEKEND BOOKING POLICY

PEAK PERIODS

CHRISTMAS PEAK PERIOD  DECEMBER 15 – JANUARY 15

MARCH BREAK PEAK PERIOD TBA (DEPENDS ON SCHOOL SCHEDULES)

Holiday and Vacation bookings must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.

We require the following minimums for peak periods and weekends:

Christmas and March Break – Minimum 5-day booking

Long Weekends – Minimum 3-day booking

Regular Weekends – Minimum 2-day booking
